Sonia had taken the puppy home (whom I’d affectionately named Xena Warrior Princess) for the weekend to give her a good bath and food. When we got to the office on Monday, poor Sonia was pretty worn out from puppy sitting – sometimes you forget that they’re like newborns, and apparently Xena had been a LOT of work.
On Tuesday after school we were watching YouTube videos about our cruise ship, getting the kids all pumped up!
OMG leaving this weekend!!!
But before it was cruise time, I had TWO graduations and class parties to get through. Thursday was Gigi’s Kindergarten graduation. Cue the ugly crying…
We didn’t get to see her until she walked into the cafeteria to the sound of Pomp and Circumstance playing in the background.
There were songs and walking the stage and the whole nine yards.
Giselle’s amazing Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Hawkins!
She was only a little delighted to have us there. <3
I took Gigi in to get a quick hair cut at my salon, because homegirl needed it. She’s such a show off. 🙂
After her hair cut, we headed straight for McDonalds for a super fast dinner, because we had to get back to Jacob’s school quickly for his Pre-K Graduation.
Mmmm, dinner of champions!
After a quick dinner, we were back at Jacob’s Pre-K to get him ready for a stage-walk of his own.
Y’all, I don’t remember all of this when I was a kid!
And Jacob said “When I grow up, I want to be just like my dad”. Awww!
The next morning, I drove Gigi to school for her very LAST day as a Kindergartener. I’m not okay with this. I’ve asked them multiple times to grow younger each year like Benjamin Button, and they’re not listening to me. 🙁
It was early release day at school, so I went to pick up Gigi, and then headed to Jacob’s school for his end-of-year party.
It was a superhero-themed party, and my kids had just a little fun with that!
Where do they come up with some of this stuff? Gosh, these teachers are creative! 🙂
And that was our week! Get ready for the next several posts, I have LOTS to show you from our cruise!
