Monday afternoon I snapped this sweet picture of Gigi reading to daddy while I made dinner. <3
And daddy cored and cut a really yummy pineapple for dessert!
Christmas Jammies in the summer for the win!
On Tuesday, Mark convinced me to take my bread maker to the office (with my cans of homemade jam!), and I’d say it was a hit! We were all on carb-overload by the afternoon.
Tuesday I left work early to pick up Gigi and go to dance class, but first I had to meet a lady to pick up some cookies for Giselle’s class at school… and HOW CUTE ARE THESE??
Her teacher thought they were so fabulous she had to email me and thank me!
Then we were off to ballet class, and I drug poor brother along. He actually likes playing with the trucks they have there so it’s not all bad.
MY BABY’S LAST DAY AS A FIVE YEAR OLD!
And just like that, I blinked and she turned six.
I picked her up from school and she was beyond excited, she got to wear a hat and have a special day all day long!
We always take the kids to Incredible Pizza on their actual birthday, just to make the day a bit more special for them (and because the anticipation of waiting until their actual birthday is a killer!). Gigi got to spin the birthday wheel! She won 50 extra tickets.
Mark was still on his way after a sales call at work, so I let the kids start playing games before we ate dinner. They were so pumped!
Once daddy got there, we ate dinner together.
Then we traded in our tickets for a weird blob thing and a snake ring, and it was time to go home!
Friday I got Gigi from school, and she was SUPER excited to look at her new Yearbook! Gosh, I remember loving looking at my yearbooks when I was little.
We headed over to the Staudachers new rental house to play! (And I brought all the fruit from my house, because this girl never. stops. eating. Like, ever. She eats an insane amount of food right now.
Sunday morning finally came, and Gigi couldn’t be more pumped! It was time for her BIRTHDAY PARTY! I picked up her cake and it was just too cute.
Giselle was adamant that we have her birthday at Ninja Warrior, with a Jojo theme. At least the ‘Jojo’ theme was easy enough, because she’s pretty much just everything girly – sparkles, bows, rainbows, unicorns, you get the idea.
Obviously when I saw the unicorn balloon, I had to get it. I also opted for the open-play space this time, because the private room was just too cramped for Jacob’s party.
This was one happy girl!
When her friends started to arrive, it was time to play!
And then it was pizza time! I also got a fruit tray and apple slice tray from Sam’s, which was a total win.
I’m pretty sure Jacob ate all the cantaloupe by himself. This kid LOVES cantaloupe.
Happy birthday, my beautiful SIX year old!
We played a while longer, but at the end Gigi told me, “Mommy, I’m so TIRED!” They played so hard.
They got lots of love from Grandma and Grandpa, too! #notspoiled
Although I’m pretty sure that Gigi only wanted to go home so she could open her presents!
Of course, cousin Lizzy eagerly offered to ‘help’ Gigi open presents. 🙂
Mimi got her the huge LOL Surprise kit, and she was BEYOND delighted!
And she got this super cool digital watch that even takes pictures and video!
Happy 6th Birthday, my little love! <3
